Modern technologies for design, construction and production
During the last few years, the STC has made major efforts to ensure its infrastructure is 100% state-of-the-art. We now deploy interesting, innovative software systems, not only in the CAD of clothing and textiles but also in the creation of alternative fashions. IT and production technologies are closely interlinked in the early stages of new product development. Studying at the Swiss Textile College is not just learning to sew and print, it is also learning how to use the appropriate technology for each specific case. Such technologies include ultrasonic welding systems, body scanning, virtual prototyping (3D), plasma technology, various types of coating, as well as Jacquard knitting and weaving on board and narrow machines. Successful graduates will be able to give their employers useful insights into future-orientated technologies.
