Our Commitment
The Swiss Textile College – STF – deals and masters today’s market situation. These changes in products’ lifecycles also influence our own course range.
Deeply committed to up-to-date issues, the STF combines solid basic knowledge with the actual market’s spirit. Excursions, seminars and interesting guest speakers enrich our curriculum integrating timeless knowledge and changing reality.
Forward-looking lecturers and instructors motivate and push our students to become highly skilled and successful personalities managing the textile market. The basis for this process is mutual respect and customer-focus. Students are encouraged to be group-players, stressing their strengths and motivating each other to give the most of their dedication.
The market development also demands both life-long and co-operative learning. Many alumni and other interested people want to educate themselves more and more, but can or only want to do so parallel to their job. To meet this need, the STF offers a wide range of certification courses for these customers. In different modules co-operative learners are able to acquire the knowledge they want in their pace and without time constraints.
The modules for "First Certification in Textile Knowledge" are certified by the "Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems" (SQS), ISO 9001:2000.
International Orientation
International business practices require clear and simple communication using English as a common language throughout the world. Textile and apparel industry, beeing highly globalised businesses, use English in their everyday life. In order to keep pace with these developments, the Swiss Textile College - STF - is continually enlarging its course range in English.
The Issues
Being a customer-focussed higher educational institute, the STF offers a wide range of training modules dedicated to different issues within the textile sector.
After the assessment-module "basic principles", which ensures that all participants share the same basic knowledge, the STF students are able to choose among the specialization-modules according to their interests and needs.
All the modules are managed and assisted by experienced lecturers and instructors.
Studying Abroad
The STF offers the possibility of studying part of the modules at one of our partner institutions. Students are able to learn other languages and to get to know other cultures, business environments and negotiation practices.

By getting involved in cross-cultural projects in product development, our lecturers and instructors show their deep commitment to the international dimension of the textile chain.
