Instructors

Our instructors and lecturers have a wide range of skills. Helmut Hälker

Fibretechnology
After studying at the university of Mönchengladbach as a textiles engineer, Helmut Hälker did business administration at the university Freiburg (D). He is experienced as a design engineer, technical leader and sales manager (in international business). He also absolved a course in didactics.


 

Simon Schmid

Economics and law
After an apprenticeship as a commercial clerk Simon Schmid worked for a city council. Later he was engaged as a Tax Adviser for a Swiss bank in Zurich. During this time he began to study law and economics at the University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur. After his studies, he worked as a corporate client advisor for a financial institution. 

 

Hans Kappeler

Course organisation
After an apprenticeship as a machine fitter Hans Kappeler worked abroad for the company "Rieter" as a fitter for five years. Later he engaged in technical service to customers for about two years. During his stay in Venezuela for two years he was responsible for the building and opening of a spinning mill. At the Swiss Textile College he became a textile-engineer. He also visited courses I and II of didactics (SIBP).

Sabine Nicoli

Weaving technology
After an apprenticeship as a mechanic of textiles Mrs. Nicoli studied textile engineering at the Swiss Textile College. Meanwhile she has got experience in instruction, production and management in the field of weaving and textile design.

 

Susanne Noller

Pattern and cutting
After her apprenticeship as a dressmaker in Munich, Susanne Noller studied at the Swiss Textile College as a technician for industrial garment manufacturing. She also absolved several courses and the examination for the title of master of tailoring. Susanne Noller has many years of practical experiences as a head in the department of creation and cutting.

 

Pascal Dueringer

Fashion Design & Technology
Pascal Dueringer lived for sixteen years in Japan where he gained a wide range of expertise in the fashion industry. During his stay in Tokyo he worked as a designer as well as a production and sales manager. He was also responsible for the overseas markets in New York and Milan. After returning from abroad he successfully studied at the Swiss Textile College and became a lecturer in 2010, once he had finished his degree as a technician in pattern making. Pascal Dueringer also graduated successfully from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lucerne with a degree in Master of Arts in Design.

 

Hans Egli

Spinning technology
After his apprenticeship as a mechanic, Hans Egli studied at the Reutlingen technical high school as a textile engineer. Hans Egli has many years of practical experiences as an assistant, technical chief, mill manager and as a project manager. He was also responsible for the installation and starting up of spinning mills in Australia, Indonesia, USA, Western Europe and South Africa. Since 1999 he works as a Lecturer at the Swiss Textile College.

Jörg Reise

Knitting technology
After his apprenticeship as a mechanic, he studied at University of Münchberg / Coburg as a textile engineer. Jörg Reise has many years experiences as technician and technical manager, mill manager and as sales engineer. Since 2006 he works in the technical training center Wattwil.


Rosi Schnetz

Bonding and welding technology
After studying and diploma in  Clothing Technology Sigmaringen, University of Applied Science in Germany, Rosi Schnetz worked at CALIDA Sursee, Switzerland for instruction, work engineering, production planning and control. Since 2008 she works at Swiss Textile College partial for research & development projects in bonding and welding technology and teaches practial subjects.

Nicole Ungureit

Product- and quality management
Nicole Ungureit has two educations in the range of fashion. First she studied fashion design and technology in Albstadt, Germany, and afterwards garment engineer in Reutlingen, Germany. She also absolved further trainings in leadership, communication and conflict management. Nicole Ungureit has working experience in fashion design and purchasing. She worked at Hugo Boss Ticina SA as a teamleader in production management and as a training instructor in the knitwear department before she joined the Swiss textile college in 2011.

Reto Waltisberg

Marketing
Having completed his business- and advertising studies with a master in marketing in Zurich, he graduated with a PhD in education in Perth, Australia. For many years Dr. Reto Waltisberg worked for famous brands in renowned advertising agencies in Zurich before he was Head of Communication and Marketing at Sony. Then he was employed as the global Brand Manager for Swiss International Air Lines where he was responsible for the visual identity and the brand strategy development.

Brigitte Dettling

Administration Wattwil
Brigitte Dettling, educated in commercial affairs has been working for the Swiss Textile College for years.  As a secretary in the Wattwil office she is responsible for the administration of the technical training.
