Technical Calculations
- Numbers of fibers in yarn cross-section, draft calculations
- Transmission calculations, law of twisting, delivery and production calculations
Spinning Plan Calculations
- Calculation of simple spinning plans for carded and combed cotton yarns, reading of spinning plans in practical operations
Statistics (Introduction)
- Introduction to basic terms of statistical thinking, mean values, standard deviations, introduction to variation coefficient in normal distributions
Machine and Process Technology
- Explaining the systematic set-up of a spinning test, drawing up test plans, determining settings of individual machines according to raw materials and other given data
Practical Work
- Setting spinning machines, optimizing machines with regard to quality
- Specialist testing and assessment of intermediate and final products
- Reading and assessing diagrams and spectrograms
