The combination of electronics and textiles - called smart textiles - is a fascinationg and highly interdisciplinary field of research. As a leading institution for education, as well as for research & development, the Swiss extile College creted a summer school "Smart Textiles" with the aim to bring together students and professionals from different disciplines and to impart profound knowledge about smart textiles development.

The participants learn all the necessary theoretical and practical know how that is needed for the creation of smart textiles. The course addresses students and professionals with different backgrounds (engineering, design, architecture, materials science...) and with an interest  in interdisciplinary work. It contains seminars, hands-on exercises, experiments and building of prototypes.

This summer course is developed for Bachelor students (all subjects) and for professionals in smart textiles.
