Quality and Management System (certificate)

Founded 1891, the Swiss Textile College (STF) is the only Swiss higher educational institution specialized in the whole textile chain and fashion market. The STF has its core competences in educating and training the future cadre and management for the whole textile chain. It is our mission to provide full and high valued technical and management instruction to our students, to network and to improve the technology and knowledge transfer to the industry and trade.

For this, the STF has four divisions

• Trade and Marketing with the Curricula of Textile Trade and Commerce and Product Management based in Zurich;
• Fashion and Apparel with the Curricula of Apparel Technology, Fashion Design and Creation based in Zurich;
• Textile Technology with the Curricula of Industrial Technology, Textile Engineering and Textile Design based in Wattwil;
• Arts and Design offering diverse courses based in St. Gall.

Our College is committed to those values considered to be Swiss Premium: precision, competence and networking. In various projects and joint ventures with the textile industry and trade in Switzerland and abroad the STF develops chances for students, lecturers and practitioners to transfer technologies, management and social skills. Quality insurance is every once concern. In yearly workshops held in cooperation with major partners the College endures innovation as a continuing process of engagement and steady re-definition of a traditional branch. One of the quality insurance activities is to evaluate 100% of our courses. The main processes of our activities are described, controlled and continuously developed by using the idea of the classic quality circle. This guaranties efficient transportation of actual knowledge to our partners. The Swiss textile college is certified by the„Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems“ (SQS), ISO 9001 since the year 2000.
