Instructors

Helmut Hälker (1958)

Fibretechnology
After studying at the university of Mönchengladbach as a textiles engineer, Helmut Hälker did business administration at the university Freiburg (D). He is experienced as a design engineer, technical leader and sales manager (in international business). He also absolved a course in didactics.


 

Schmid Simon (1977)

Economics and law
After an apprenticeship as a commercial clerk Simon Schmid worked for a city council. Later he was engaged as a Tax Adviser for a Swiss bank in Zurich. During this time he began to study law and economics at the University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur. After his studies, he worked as a corporate client advisor for a financial institution. 

 

 

Hans Kappeler (1946)

Course organisation
After an apprenticeship as a machine fitter Hans Kappeler worked abroad for the company "Rieter" as a fitter for five years. Later he engaged in technical service to customers for about two years. During his stay in Venezuela for two years he was responsible for the building and opening of a spinning mill. At the Swiss Textile College he became a textile-engineer. He also visited courses I and II of didactics (SIBP).

Sabine Nicoli (1968)

Weaving technology
After an apprenticeship as a mechanic of textiles Mrs. Nicoli studied textile engineering at the Swiss Textile College. Meanwhile she has got experience in instruction, production and management in the field of weaving and textile design.



 

Dr. Tünde Kirstein (1973)

Wearable computing
After studying textile technology in Hamburg, Tünde Kirstein obtained her doctorate at a graduate school in Dresden. Mrs Kirstein is well experienced in the fields of CAD and pattern/cutting. For several years she worked as a scientific collaborator at the institute for clothing and textiles in Dresden and at the University in Zurich (Wearable Computing Lab).

 

Heinrich Schenk

Textile finishing & quality assurance
After his apprenticeship as a laboratory assistant in the textile industry, Heinrich schenk studied at the Engineering school in Muttenz chemistry and thereafter graduated successfully as Bachelor of Textile chemistry in Rapperswil. He has many years practical experiences in quality assurance in a yarn producer and a mill. He is a qualified auditor for ISO 9001 and 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Susanne Noller (1968)

Pattern and cutting
After her apprenticeship as a dressmaker in Munich, Susanne Noller studied at the Swiss Textile College as a technician for industrial garment manufacturing. She also absolved several courses and the examination for the title of master of tailoring. Susanne Noller has many years of practical experiences as a head in the department of creation and cutting.

 

Sissi Faÿsse (1966)

Garment production
After her apprenticeship as a dressmaker, Sissi Weisser studied technology of textiles at the university of engineering and economy in Berlin. During four years she worked as an applications trainer, applications engineer, consultant and senior applications engineer in Munich and the U.S. In Berlin she worked as a teacher at the university of engineering and economy.

Hans Egli (1946)

Spinning technology
After his apprenticeship as a mechanic, Hans Egli studied at the Reutlingen technical high school as a textile engineer. Hans Egli has many years of practical experiences as an assistant, technical chief, mill manager and as a project manager. He was also responsible for the installation and starting up of spinning mills in Australia, Indonesia, USA, Western Europe and South Africa. Since 1999 he works as a Lecturer at the Swiss Textile College.

 

Jörg Reise (1966)

Knitting technology
After his apprenticeship as a mechanic, he studied at University of Münchberg / Coburg as a textile engineer. Jörg Reise has many years experiences as technician and technical manager, mill manager and as sales engineer. Since 2006 he works in the technical training center Wattwil.


Nicole Arlitt (1976)

Administration Zurich
After her apprenticeship as a commercial clerk Nicole Arlitt increased her knowledge in administration practice on the job. She is experienced in foreign languages and organisation systems. Today her responsibility is the coordination of the Zurich office.

 

 

 

Brigitte Dettling (1966)

Administration Wattwil
Brigitte Dettling, educated in commercial affairs has been working for the Swiss Textile College for years.  As a secretary in the Wattwil office she is responsible for the administration of the technical training.
